SAS makes it easy to savour Budapest’s rich flavours and explore Copenhagen’s Michelin-starred cuisine starting April 2025

Scandinavian Airlines (SAS) is set to reignite the skies on April 3, 2025, as the carrier resumes direct flights between Budapest and Copenhagen.  This exciting development unlocks a realm of culinary adventure for food lovers eager to savour the unique flavours of both Hungary and Denmark’s capitals.

Máté Ritter, Head of Airline Development at Budapest Airport, highlights the growing demand for this route, stating, “The return of SAS will allow us to better meet this need while enhancing our overall connectivity to Scandinavia.”

With four weekly flights on SAS’s modern A320 Neo aircraft, Budapest Airport will offer over 4,300 weekly seats to Copenhagen by mid-April 2025, with SAS capturing 16% of total routes. This expansion caters to both leisure and business travellers, making it easier to indulge in the rich cuisine of the region.
