This easy-to-make Thai spicy beef salad makes a perfect summer appetizer.
The salad burst with freshness from the lime and mint. A wonderful blend of sweet, sour, salty and bitter flavours to appease your taste buds. It goes well with Jasmine rice or Thai sticky rice.

Spicy Grilled Beef Salad
Ingredients
150 g beef sirloin, marinated and grilled
1 pc tomato, sliced
1/2 onion, sliced
1 cucumber, sliced
Lettuce
Mint leaf
Spring Onion
Red chilli flower
Spicy Sauce
1 coriander root, chopped
5 pcs pickled garlic or onion
2 pcs garlic
1/2 red chilli, sliced
5 pcs bird’s eye chilli
3 tbsp Thai fish sauce or light soy sauce
3 tbsp lime juice
1 tbsp palm sugar paste or white sugar
Garnish
Lettuce
Mint leaf
Spring Onion
Red chilli flower
Directions
- Season the sirloin beef with salt and pepper.
- Grill the steak until desired doneness. Let it rest for a few minutes and slice. Set a side.
- Prepare the spicy sauce by blending all the ingredients in a mortar and pestle.
- Place the tomato, white onion, and cucumber on a plate.
- Then place the sliced beef on top and pour the spicy sauce over the beef.
- Garnish with lettuce, mint leaf, spring onion and red chilli pepper.
