Each evening, the Jamaican “Patty Hour” will showcase the city’s best patties, Jamaican cocktail specials and iconic beer, Red Stripe. The evening entertainment will bring good vibes to Yaletown with live music and dance featuring Jamaica’s popular music genres: reggae, rocksteady, roots, ska and dancehall.
The four-day celebration of Jamaican culture is a marketing campaign of the Jamaica Tourist Board. “The Jamaica Pop Up Shop will allow guests to Feel the Vibe of our island and fall in love with the destination before booking their vacation,” said Philip Rose, the Jamaica Tourist Board’s Regional Director in Canada.
