Homemade Food Contest
Starts at 1 pm. Drop off your dishes by noon beside the stage area. Enter for a chance to win gift baskets with your best homemade pie and/or jam using local ingredients. Chef Trevor Randle of BC Agriculture will be contest judge.

Food Bank
Bring non-perishable food items to donate to the local food bank. Farm Credit Canada Staff and volunteers will collect them at event entrances.

Westham Island Bridge
The picturesque Westham Island Bridge connects Ladner with Westham Island. Made of partially single-lane and wood-deck truss, the 108 year old bridge is one of Translink’s oldest assets.
The bridge (about 325 m long) passes over Canoe Pass in the Fraser River Estuary and is one of the oldest working swing-bridges in British Columbia.
It a favourite spot for photographers, birdwatchers and film and TV productions. One of the most famous was an episode of the X-Files TV series, “Kill Switch” A perfect haven for birds.
Reifel Bird Sanctuary (Opening hours: 9:00 am to 5:00 pm daily)
Bring out your binoculars. Close to 300 species of birds have been recorded at the Sanctuary, with the highest diversity and numbers usually from fall to spring.
The Reifel Bird Sanctuary is one of 92 federal Migratory Bird Sanctuaries in Canada. This popular nature viewing spot in Metro Vancouver is ranked as one of the top ten bird-watching sites in Canada.
