Romance in France Kicks Off in Vancouver

The French are painting the city red with romance as Valentine approaches. It’s part of the Romance in France campaign launched by Atout France (France’s tourism development agency) in Montreal,Toronto and Vancouver. The campaign aims to highlight France’s romantic assets in Canada throughout the month of February.

BC Home + Garden Show

Presenting on stage is also lifestyle expert, Leigh-Ann Allaire Perrault, and several of Vancouver’s top gardeners, design experts, respected chefs and bartenders. Vancouver International Wine Festival

The wine world meets in Vancouver this February 20-28 for the 38th annual Vancouver International Wine Festival. The 8-day festival features 1450+ wines from 155 wineries in 14 countries. If you are a wine drinker, collector or trade professional, this is a must attend event. Your palate would have a heyday with over 700 wines to sample in the tasting room.

Italy is this year’s theme country. About 60 Italian wineries from different Italian regions will be showcasing their wines. Some of the best Italian DOC wines to be featured include Piedmont’s Barolo, Puglia’s Salice Salentino, Veneto’s Prosecco and Tuscany’s Brunello di Montalcino. Italy’s Showcase is organised in partnership with the Consulate General of Italy in Vancouver.

The festival also features 54 events in 30 Vancouver venues. A noted event is the Bacchanalia Gala Dinner + Auction with the theme: A Venetian Masquerade. The sumptuous gala promises a delicious five-course meal created paired with 10 top wines. The evening also includes an auction of rare, valuable wines.
